Project: Family Genealogy Book
This book is a personal project but it’s a good example of how to take relatively scarce copy and turn it into something visually pleasing and readable. It’s a look at my own genealogical background and includes documents, family images, and genealogical resources. I’ve done a lot of research over the years, but never to this extent. I learned to read (somewhat) 18th century Spanish documents and how to sort the wheat from the chaff in terms of anecdotal stories vs hard facts.
The book starts off with basic facts and genetic info, then moves into photos and documents. The last chapter is a family gallery comprised of photos and documents that were interesting but weren’t necessary to the main story.
